It’s a classy yet cozy spot to enjoy a great cup of joe and a good time with family and friends.

Earth Rider Brewery

Earth Rider Brewery crafts world-class beer with Lake Superior water and peerless ingredients. Earth Rider’s team is proud to sustainably produce beer for Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Earth Rider is the first brewery in Superior, Wis. to produce beer for the region since 1967 when Northern Brewing Company ceased operations. The brewery building was constructed in the late 1880s as a bakery, transformed to a “bakery supply” store during prohibition, and then lasted five generations as a beer wholesaler (Leamon Mercantile).

Earth Rider’s Cedar Lounge taproom sits adjacent to the brewery. The Cedar is a historic Northern Brewing Company tied-house tavern constructed in 1912.

Earth Rider is a member of the Bev-Craft network of independent breweries, comprised of a team of decorated brewers and brewing-industry professionals with a mission to keep independent craft brewing robust.

Douglas County Historical Society

The Mission of DCHS is to collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit artifacts, archival materials and photographs of the cultural, social and political history of the people and communities of Douglas County, Wisconsin.

Located at 1101 John Avenue, the home of the DCHS was built in 1925 for $35,000 and was known as the Vasa Temple. Newspaper articles of the time inform us that it was erected by the Svea and the Freja lodges of the Vasa Order of America, which was a Swedish American organization. Lidgerwood-Mundy bought the building in 1948 and has been there until recently, when they moved their engineering and accounting divisions to their main headquarters. They have maintained the building very well, keeping the wiring updated and re-roofing the building in 1991.

Not only does our Great Hall serve as our exhibit room but it is also home to the History Theatre a feature unique to DCHS in the upper Midwest. In addition the building’s 40 by 60-foot hall is also large enough to utilize for meetings, weddings, funerals, musical and theatrical productions.

Joe Polecheck Photography

Located inside of Empire Coffee on Tower Ave., Joe Polecheck Photography captures landscape photos from the Twin Ports and surrounding natural areas. With a variety of print sizes, you'll be sure to take your favorite piece of the Twin Ports home!

As stated on his website, "photography is a medium through which to experience and share the wonder of this planet. Rather than stand as a barrier between myself and nature, my camera has completely changed my sense of beauty, and how to appreciate it. It has made me more finely in tune to the ever-changing interaction of patterns and shapes, light and shadows, drama and subtlety which make up the natural world. It allows me to capture the emotion and feeling of the moment, to preserve it, and to share it with others and to create often-needed reminders that this world truly is beautiful."

North Shore Stand-Up Paddleboard

From the North Shore SUP website: "We are paddlers. We value the natural world around us. We love getting out there and into the environment in any way/shape/form. We come from a whitewater background and have experience guiding on rivers mostly in the southwestern region of Colorado/New Mexico. This is where we found sup, and our stoke to share it with others began. When the rivers got too low for rafting we became obsessed with how versatile and fun it was playing on a board. We learned all we could about the sport and still continue to develop and improve our expertise.

We now paddle year-round on different types of waterways with awesome people, who have made paddleboarding their profession! We attend clinics, build up our certifications, constantly keep up with the industry, and most importantly we are out there doing it all the time. We are proud of the equipment we choose to carry and it reflects in how amazed our customers are when they paddle with us!"
