    Experience live stand-up comedy in The Hole! Featuring the best rising comedians in the Midwest! Our Friday night showcase at the Gopher Hole is conveniently located inside the Gopher Bar & Grill in West Duluth. Come in early and grab a bite to eat upstairs and make your way down into The Hole for a night of laughter.

    Headliner: Khadijah Cooper
    Khadijah Cooper grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis as an only child. Working as the Education Director of a local non-profit focusing on adolescent sexual health, her confidence in public speaking coupled with her quick wit gave her the fuel she needed to burst onto the comedy scene in February 2018; making her name known. In March 2019 Khadijah was in the top 5 for the Best comedian for the City Pages Best of the Twin Cities. In 2021 Khadijah was named one of 5 comedians to watch! In 2023 Khadijah was accepted into Limestone Comedy Festival, Big Pine Comedy Festival, 10k Laughs ComedyFestival, & B4U Die Comedy Festival, and Laugh After Dark Comedy Festival! Her point of view in her stand up as a mother, an Education Director and someone that has confidence and comfort in her skin makes her irresistible to laugh with and relate to!
     
    Featuring: Michael Collins
    Coming in at a height of 5 feet 5 inches with a fluctuating weight of 200-215 pounds, Michael Collins hails from Two Harbors. He's headlined a few times, won a roast battle and that all went to his head. Michael has performed all over the midwest from northern Minnesota to southern Minnesota and everywhere in between. If you catch him performing, expect dark, witty humor about life and his family.
     
    Host: Chad Gallo
    Chad Gallo has been a staple of the Twin Ports Comedy scene for longer than most of us can remember. Chad has performed comedy all across the Midwest, to the delight of all audiences. He has also produced a series of successful, long-form, avant-garde, alternative comedy shows. Chad's style will make you drink heavily, and smile reluctantly, just like his daily life!

  • Maria and the Coins | Live on the Cosmic Stage!

    Maria and the Coins are an indie pop-rock band based in Minneapolis, MN. Over the last decade, the fivesome have released a tapestry of big-picture pop anthems, soulful ballads, and driving-with-the-windows-down-belt-your-heart-out bangers. One idea remains a constant through it all: reminding listeners to keep moving forward.
    Maria and the Coins have opened for Christina Perri, Jukebox the Ghost, Papa Roach and Haley Reinhart. They have been featured on American Songwriter, The Current, Jazz88, and KFAI. Their 2024 mental health anthem “Something Good” will be featured in the upcoming independent film “interiorem pueri” next spring.
